The Stagecoach Inn is a classic American restaurant rich in
history, delicious in flavors and comfortable with western hospitality. The unique
historic structure marks the entrance to downtown Manitou Springs. Two decks overlook a
mountain stream. Four fireplaces, warm cozy corners in the winter,
knotty pine paneling, a pub-like bar and lounge and multi-level dining rooms create a
special ambience. The Stagecoach cuisine is based
on classical American and continental preparations, sometimes
with a western flair. Juicy choice charbroiled steaks, succulent slow roasted prime
rib, camp fire trout, cedar
plank salmon, fried chicken and
ribs require repeat visits.

The Stagecoach is also famous for
buffalo.
Choosing between slow roasted
buffalo pot roast, buffalo steak au poivre, buffalo
ribeye or buffalo burger makes
ordering one's meal a real dilemma. Our attentive and professional service is
the epitome of warm western hospitality.
Come on in - you
are always welcome at the Historic Stagecoach Inn. |

"I tried the Stagecoach Driver’s
Stuffed Steak, which was cooked to order and full of
mushrooms, Swiss, bread crumbs and a satisfying garlic poke.
Vaulting Stagecoach above the din of lesser family-style
eateries is that Craftwood link, which shows up in dishes such
as the Wild Game Quesadillas. Served with a snappy salsa and a
corn and black bean mix, they will
get you jump-started with a spicy sausage-and-cheese filling.
Another wild ride is the Smoked Mountain Stream Fish
appetizer, which plates a kit of cold smoked trout and salmon,
diced hard-boiled eggs, red onions, capers and toasted bread
to engage your finger-food fetish. It’s one of the more
creative apps we’ve run across — not for its complexity but
for its range of flavors and textures. The restaurant also
retains a mighty-fine wine list. And you can’t leave without
trying the Smoked Pheasant Chowder, an elixir that puts other
cream soups to shame.
Tom’s take: Stagecoach’s change to family-style dining
is a smashing success, thanks to wild-game touches on the
extensive menu and the historic mood the building surrounds
you with."
